According to the State Statistics Committee of Kazakhstan, in the January-February period of the current year Kazakhstan produced 434,900 mt of crude steel, down 28.6 percent year on year.

Production of flat steel in Kazakhstan in the January-February period of this year decreased by 47.5 percent year on year to 295,600 mt.

In the first two months of 2013, Kazakhstan saw its ferroalloy production decline by 6.3 percent year on year to 258,200 mt.
