It’s reported that Korean three major cold rolling mills increased the imports of base materials from Japan substantially in last December.

In last December, the three Korean mills’ total imports of hot rolled steel products totaled 161,000 tons, rising by 4.3% from a month ago and increasing by 16.4% year on year.

Among them, 134,000 tons were imported from Japan, soaring by 55%; 22,000 tons were from China, falling by 62.6%.
